Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2021 and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science in 2025. During her Optometry studies, Sarah developed a particular interest in Binocular Vision and conducted research related to amblyopia (lazy eye). She was honored with the Lyle/Fischer/Bobier Award for her clinical research and the Drs. Wensveen and Smith Award in Binocular Vision and Perception.
Throughout her time at the University of Waterloo, Sarah completed several clinical externships, gaining experience in ocular disease, primary care, contact lenses, and pediatrics. She externed at Spadina Optometry in Toronto, where she gained hands-on experience fitting overnight Orthokeratology lenses for myopia control. Sarah also completed an ocular disease externship at Eye Centers of South Florida where she worked alongside leading ophthalmologists in the treatment and management of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases.
Sarah is passionate about providing care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on myopia management and the treatment of ocular disease. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, watching Saturday night hockey, spending time with family and friends, and staying active. Sarah is excited to begin her career serving the vision and health needs of patients in the London area.
